Can be used as the Bouquet for Brides, Bridesmaids, Flower Girl and for the gesture of gratitude called the Mother’s Rose. The decorations are up to You and the Wedding Theme. Normally You use the Rose as Single, in a group of two or three. When using more flowers you are getting in to the bouquet style design. Although we are using Roses here, there are many Flowers to be used for Single use. Carnations, Peony, Calla Lily, Sun Flowers are all good choices. All use the basic stem wrapping technique and bow attachments. |
The Mother’s Rose is a single flower, usually a Rose but can be any flower You wish. It is there to signify the gratitude of the Bride and Groom to each Mother and the unspoken promise to care for their child from now on. Given toward the end of the Ceremony, or at any point You would prefer. The Flowers are placed by the altar area, then when the moment arrives the Bride and Groom retrieve the flowers and then the presentation is given with possibly a small speech. From the Bride to the Groom’s Mother and the Groom to the Bride’s Mother. Fathers are encouraged to be included in this presentation. You also have the option to make this presentation to the Mother’s at the Reception.
There are many ways to decorate the Roses. A florist or flower shop can provide you with a rose, baby’s breath and a simple bow to serve the need, or You may use silk flowers for a more longer lasting keepsake. You can take this small ritual within the Wedding Event and customize it by getting the Flowers and decorating them Yourself with Your Wedding Theme.

Having a water source is an important issue. Floral water tubes are a good solution, they can be removed for presentation, then replaced after. Another option is a tall glass or vase with small amount of water to hold Flowers until use and reuse for display at Reception. Now, if using silk Flowers for this You would not need the water source for the Flowers but possibly just the vase for display.
